How to Get Your Children to Enjoy Cleaning!
This post is sponsored by Pine-Sol® but the content and opinions expressed here are my own.
Cleaning. It’s a pretty dirty word for something that describes making your place dirt-less. Whether you use a cleaning service or you clean your house yourself, there is always some level of cleaning involved.
When we had a cleaning service, I spent the night before cleaning up our regular mess and clutter. I wanted our cleaning service to spend their time at my home actually cleaning without worrying about stuff everywhere.
Now, we no longer have a cleaning service so cleaning is crucial. We’ve tried to keep up with the same schedule we had previously. But, in order to not sacrifice an entire weekend day, we’ve enlisted the whole family.
Getting young children excited about cleaning can be a challenge. But, when we incorporated their love for music and dancing, it was a bit easier!

My Cleaning Moves
When we throw on some fun jams, everyone in the family can’t help but move. So, we add some dusters, rags, mops, and some multi-surface Pine-Sol® and create some cleaning dance moves. It may be a lot of wax on, wax off type motions or even signing into the duster, but we get it done and we have fun doing it.

My Cleaning Pair
We all work in pairs. My husband and I divide and conquer. The little ones each take a duster and go to town. They’ve even worked together to organize their playroom.
But, my favorite pair is a simple, soft rag and some multi-surface Pine-Sol®. It’s rare that you find a product that you can use on most surfaces, including your floor. So, when I discovered Pine-Sol® at Walmart, I was sold!
It smells great, it works tremendously well, and kills 99.9% of germs when used as directed. Since it is safe on most surfaces, I can use it to clean just about any mess. Pine-Sol® has 4X the cleaning action so it can be used to clean up dirt, grime, grease, and to deodorize. It’s the perfect match for any soft rag or mop!

My Cleaning Theme
Get it done, but have fun. Cheesy, I know. But, it works. My husband and I work very hard all week. So, we want a product that will work just as hard to keep our house clean while still allowing us the extra time on the weekend to be with family.
We only get so much quality time with our children on the weekend. However, the cleaning still needs to get done. If we make it a fun time for all, then it becomes an activity instead of a chore.
