Michigan Fall Favorites

As most people native to Michigan can agree, Michigan fall is a beautifully unforgettable sight to see. It is not uncommon to find that most Michiganders find fall to be their favorite season. The air is just perfect, the trees turn a plethora of vibrant colors, and some of our most loved drinks come back to coffee shops!

I've compiled a list of some of my favorite things to do during fall in Michigan. Take a look and see if you have any others you would like to share!

Apple Orchards

Heading to pick apples, grab some deliciously warm donuts, and drink some cider is considered a staple during fall in Michigan. There are many orchards to choose from all across Michigan with a variety of offerings. It's a great way to enjoy local treats and beautiful weather.

Golfing Up North

During late September and early October, the trees truly start to change into their most vibrant colors. The golf courses that accompany many resorts in northern Michigan have some of the most majestic views over bays and great lakes. So, whether you enjoy golfing or just want to go along for a ride (and some drinks), I highly recommend taking a trip to take in the sights up north.

Brewery/Winery Tours

There's nothing quite like a nice wine, craft beer, or hard cider straight from a Brewery or Winery. The atmosphere is always carefree and easy-going. In addition to their vast knowledge on the subject of wine, beer, and cider, most are located in awesome locations with breathtaking views and scenery.

Zoo/Park Trips

I've always taken pleasure in weather that lets me comfortably wear just a sweatshirt and jeans (while still looking cute). It's the ideal whether to take in the sights at the zoo or an easy walk in the park. The temperature allows for cool air that doesn't make you sweat, but with just enough warmth from the sun.

Bonfires

When that just perfect warmth from the sun goes down, and an extra chill comes with nightfall, a bonfire is just the thing to keep the day going strong. It serves as the perfect heat for roasting marshmallows or allowing the day to be extended into night.

There are so many other things that are wonderful about a Michigan fall but these are the things that I find myself enjoying each year. Do you have some other favorite things to do during fall in Michigan?
